Re: Stratocaster appreciation thread
Shades of Corgan, some love for early Weezer and the love of 2 CBS HT strats I played in college that belonged to other people and I could not convince them to part with. Mostly Corgan specs though.
Maybe a bit of love for Delong in there s well.

I don't think I'd like to work for him. I've heard he can be... difficult from time to time. I ran sound for a reasonable number of venues and bands but never Smashing Pumpkins.OffYourFace wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:50 amYahulakatt wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 5:47 amWho? i took the aluminium guard off my tokai today with the intent to list and sell it but it's too good! sounds amazing now with the stock guard on, aluminium guard was trapping all the good sounds inside.

So stratted up right now
The orange one sold, but the LPB one is now adorned with an incredible set of Kinman Mark Knopfler pickups + a blend knob and its the best sounding strat I've ever heard. Bridge + neck on a strat is just sublime. Its from a brand called Cool Z - a Fujigen made brand for a guitar shop in Japan and they are INCREDIBLE guitars for the $. The teal green metallic is (I think) a US partscaster..it has a loaded pickguard from a US Big Apple strat which is an incredibly versatile setup and US body and neck circa 2003

Traded my '62 Custom Tele from Johnny for an... AV65 Strat. I had it once already, then had to let it go, and by fate it's found its way back to me. Absolutely stunning and quite worn... can't wait to use it incessantly. I've always felt that Strats are more nuanced than other guitars- you can't be too heavy handed with them I find.
