My Tokai (not original colour!)- the Roland GK pickup has been removed.

Man, that's awesome. Just craft paint? I wish the Billy Corgan Strat would have looked like this.
Thanks for that :) I used fluorescent enamel paints- the sort you might use on plastic models.

Isn't it a bit cheerful-looking for Billy Corgan, or am I doing him an injustice?

80's Japanese Paisley Strat... mmmmm
Man, the Paisley Strats are lovely. My girlfriend has always regretted not snagging one when they got re-issued about 2004, she loved the look but couldn't afford it at the time. if anyone finds out if they're around anywhere let me know!

Here's my collection of Strats from a year ago... sold off most of them since then but replaced them with other stuff.

Rondo/SX makes some, IIRC. :)

I like Strats, I actually have a Partcaster that's currently stringless (and electronic less as well) that I'll end up part out to sell, as I'd like one with a hardtail.

THere's something nice with those, the quacky sound! Still love it even with distortion!

Here's a pic:

I have to admit I really love the 70' with the big headstock on a maple board, maybe someday! :D
That's a CIJ? No shit. The workmanship looks so good I thought it was an AVRI or something. I love CIJs but most of the sunbursts look awful, including the one on my main guitar. This is a beaut though, perfect looking in all respects! You got the stock pickups in there?
This is a real CIJ! I really love it! The only thing I didn't swap is the body and neck! Everything in it is changed!
The pickups are from JS Moore: http://www.tonefordays.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
a costum set I ordered just for this guitar! :D

I actually really like my AVRI strat, but I'm just not in love with the look any more like I used to be. I used to think they were the prettiest guitars...then I found a Jazzmaster :-*

I also find myself always white boy blooze on it and rarely experimenting...mostly because the pickups sound SO good for that kind of thing. It plays great though and really is a nice guitar. I just find myself more inspired by my JM these days

Its a Fender Squier series. Its pretty much a mim standard, with squier electronics.
I upgraded the trem, put klusons on it, and replaced the pups with gfs ones.
The volume knob is also a push/pull, so I can turn on the bridge pickup in any position.

Its an awesome guitar now.

sounds rad, I like the sound of those mods!

I upgraded mine with some Grovers I found at my little local store.

bone nut too
its got a Kent Armstrong High Output single coil in the middle and the other 2 pickups are stock. I might change them for some Kent Specials and put a Kent hotrail in the bridge...

You can tell that Andy is really feeling that strat.

I've been missing playing one myself. I used to use our drummers from time to time, and really grew to appreciate it.

Don't know if it's a general thing, but my Paisley one (it's from something like 1988- not too sure though) is much heavier than the recent reissues that I've tried. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing (I'll ask my back in a few years time!), but it may be worth bearing in mind if your girlfriend is not of the scrum-half/ heavyweight boxer physique!
