This would probably have to be my favorite:

Padouk strat san dimas style.

Though I also quite like the Charvel and G&L offerings.
My Fender goes to twelve.

I sold this 6 weeks ago:

it wasn't that bas as a guitar, but I didn't like it. I was talked into a trade for another guitar I didn't care for. Spent the money on electricity bills. Good thing.

I had the opportunity to play one of the new Charvels the other day, and it felt unbleieveably good. If they bothered to offer one sans trem, I'd be quite interested (I HATE Floyds).

There is something about the pointed cutaways that I am not into on most superstrats.

I never really thought of the Ibanez Roadstar as a super strat. They are really great, and if I didn't own a bunch of really sick guitars, I would get one as a beater.

I am kind of into the supertele's. They are pretty cheesy, but I would kind of perfer one over a superstrat if I had to play one...

But since we are talking about shred guitars, I think some of the Gibson 80's metal guitars are kind of cool in their own weird way like...

The Victory...

Image

The Spirit XPL

Image

The Melody Maker Flyer/pro III

Image

The SG 90 Double...

Image

The SG 400

Those were some strange times, and to think people bought these...

I'd rather play a superstrat than a PRS.

Ps: I'm staying at my sister's house in Texas, where I have been playing her Ibanez RGsomething every day and really enjoying the extra jumbo frets, 20" radius, and even the fine tuners on the Floyd Rose (which I blocked the day I got here, since she complained about tuning issues). I'm totally wanting a superstrat right about now...

I think I'm going to buy that G&L Rampage next week...

I was bought a blue one of these new (Squier Showmaster NLT) for my 17th birthday (7 years ago! :wtf: ). I ended up respraying it (badly) in white, making a black Strat-shaped pickguard (purely for aesthetics) and replacing all 3 pickups...

...and it's never let me down, sounds awesome, plays like butter and I use it with my band all the time. :-)

I used to have one of these beasts that I got in a trade.

Its a Wayne Guitars "Monster" (Made by Wayne Charvel)

But I traded it for a regular strat.

Pretty awesome, mahagony strat body with a JB pickup in the bridge and just a volume control.

However, it weighed a tonne and I am more of a single coil dude.

This is my superstrat. It’s basically a neck thru ESP M1. It was customized by Rod Schoepfer (did a lot of custom work for Richie Sambora, various other 80’s artists, and Kramer Guitars). It’s signed by George Lynch too.

It’s pretty much my main guitar for live situations. It’ a very well built guitar. Plus the neck is fantastic.

Not a bad guitar at all. But that humbucker proved to be too much for me. So it got ebayed.
I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

i believe a super strat is basically any strat with a humbucker... right? it doesn't have to be a 'shredder' type axe. The new Blacktop series Strats are pretty awesome.
