Here we see the great, late Godzilla playing what appears to be a Ri Thinline Tele just hours before his untimely death in the Tokyo harbor.
Presumably, the guitar is now owned by Steven Spielberg but no pictures exist to prove this.

Re: post your MONSTER TELES!
Sorry to bring quality down,my first partscaster tele/strat Washburn Stage neck and Floyd Rose 2.Bloody ugly but was a fine guitar to play and good sound.Texas special bridge, select EMG middle and Artec Tele neck.It took the back burner when I aquired a Squier Japan E series Strat which became my go to for strat applications.
And now the Floyd and scratch plate have been stolen for a Ash body Maple neck strat that has turned out great. Its funny I like rough functionable guitars but I soon tired of the way this looked in a way as well, shouldn't matter it played great and sounded lovely. But we are driven by look as well how ever much we try and deny it.
Don't Know what to do now with body and neck maybe put something together for wierd tunings or prepared guitar.

This one isn't really a monster visually, but it sure is in the TOANZ department. It's got two reissue WRHBs that Telenator reworked to vintage 70's specs.

Re: post your MONSTER TELES!
This is my main guitar.
A 1990-ish Squier Silver Series MIJ Tele. Bought for £110 in 1997. It was black/black then. The previous owner had stripped the finish from the neck and I think he maybe secreted olive oil or maybe spunk from his pores because the neck was (and still is) really yellowed in certain places and if you take it from a hot to cold environment a weird greasy liquid seeps out of the wood.
I sprayed the pickguard silver. Got smashed at a gig later that year then it was immediately stolen/lost before being found hidden under a desk in the venue the next day. Repaired. Pickguard sprayed black over the silver. "MINOR THREAT" scratched into the control plate. Subsequently modified to be a "top loader" with the volume knob removed. It then got damaged again and kind of shelved for a while.
Arund 2000 one of my best friends had hs whole band's equipment stolen from a parked car so I gave him the Tele and he had it fixed. He gave me £40 for it to say thanks. He scratched out Minor Threat and carved HUSKER DU out of the black paint on the scratchplate. He gigged the shit out of it for a couple of years and then for some reason I bought it back for £40. Then I subsequently sold it back to him a year later, for £40. More gigging.

By now this thing looks like it's been dragged behind a car. My friend ended up recording a record for a band I was in and the guitar was at his house. I suddenly realised that through all the dicking about with guitars that I have done for 15 years or more, this Tele has always been around. My friend did the right thing and sold it back to me. For £40 of course.
At that time it looked like this:

I had a proper WRHB from 1973 that I got cheaply so I had that fitted in the neck slot and a Harmonic Design P90 in a Tele case fitted in the bridge. Put the jack back where it should be and voila:

I've since switched the slider selector for a 3-way Les Paul switch in the same slot.
I love this guitar...
