No better picture I can find. I am the proud owner of both teles in this here picture. Saxophone is not my bands, unfortunately.

At the moment it's just a MonsterTele vision ::)

My resurrected project for the New Year....

Image

I've toyed with a couple of other project ideas but this ones stuck.

★ Rosewood neck.
★ CBS-esque headstock
★ Block inlays, no binding.
★ Kluson/Gotoh tuners.
★ TV Jones or Filtertron pickups.
★ Mustang bridge.
★ Bigsby B5 or B50.
★ Pelham Blue or greener Charcoal Frost (like Stereordinary's recent paintjob).
★ Contoured body around arm (front) & waist (back) like Jazzmasters.
★ Mint green or parchment guard.

There may be other ways of going about it but at the moment it's looking like a complete build from top to bottom. So far I've priced it up at around £450.

Eskimo- It's an old Dearmond gold foil from (I assume) a Harmony Rocket.

If for whatever reason I part with my JM someday, this will happen to my tele. Hell, I may do it anyway.

weed_killer wrote:Alright, I've been waiting for this thread! I have a strange relationship with Tele's. I've never really cared for the standard model, but I always dug the 70's Customs. Another reason I might like mine so much is that it's so far removed from standard that it's almost a different guitar. I also see we're both part of the TOM's on Fenders club. Here's my Ibanez/Squier/Fender/Teisco Tele Custom:

Very nice (as are all the rest in this thread!). What pickup do you have in the bridge? the metal ring (?) around it adds that certain something that my tele is missing.
