WYSIWYG editor option?

Post by SPudnik » Tue Nov 14, 2006 12:25 pm

Some forums have the option of a WYSIWYG editor, where you have a lot of variables for font size, type, and other possibilities.
Seems to be standard fare.

Sure glad I'm not mentioning this somewhere else, if you know what I mean...  ::)

We have that option as well but I removed those features for the sake of cleaner looking posts.  I think it makes the board messy when font sizes start getting bigger, bolder, or colored.  If it's something a large number of you feel that you'd prefer to have I'll be happy to add the options back in but it would not be my recommendation to do so.

my vote is to stay how we are currently .....    messy boards with varying font size and font type, and colour literally give me a headache.  having the bold, underline, itellics is enogh for me...

my 2 cents worth ;)
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

I think it looks great the way it is - its very clean and readable - superbly done.

I wouldn't mind it if we could use and html tags. It'd be a lot easier for me to compose posts in BBEdit and paste in the posting box.

I brought up as the feature is available on the Dudepit - a bass-centric forum
but very few use use it. However, they are quite heavy on those pesky emoticons  8)
