Thank you Higgsblossom!
Today i started to work on the coverplate for the volume wheels.

Hi!
Today i got those beautiful hagstrom tulip tuners in the mail, they will look great on the guitar!
I have started to strip the finish off on the guitar, quite a lot of work, will take some time.

Hey!
finally, all polish off, and my Hagstrom is naked. A lot of work to get it in this condition!
I need to fill the large hole on the front, not completely but a little, it's too big right now if it will look good with electronics from the Impala.
Next is to use grain filler, its water base with mahogany from Colortone.

The neck construction seems interesting, there seems to be a small "gap" towards the body? Very unique construction. This should come out as a very beautiful instrument.

Hi!
Today i filled the big hole in the body with mahogany that i got from Guscium, a guitar builder in Umeå Sweden.
It seems impossible to find the original hagstrom bi-sonic pickups, so I'm thinking of making my own, or find pickups from a Impala/Corvette.
Im also thinking of 3D print the volume thumbwheels.
If someone have some knowledge of making pickups, please let me know.

Re: Hagstrom Futurama Coronado automatic restoration
Hello!
Today i did the last work on the cover plate. looks pretty nice i think.
I have done one layer with the grain filler, but i have to do it one more time.
Waiting for baby blue color code, when i got it i will start to paint it. someone that have any tips
for how many layers? and if I'm gonna use a different color for the first layers to get a better result?

A while since i wrote here now, i have been working a lot to fill the pores in the wood to get a nice surface.
Today i got the paint, thanks to Arthur in denmark for helping me with the color code! i bought car paint, seems impossible to find custom Nitro-Cellulose Lacquer.
In the weekend I'm gonna prime the guitar.
Let me know what you think, or if you have any tips!
