are those univox pickups?
(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

No, they're Eastwood Phase 4 pickups that I used to have in my Univox Hi Flier before I found a pair of originals. They sound good, fairly close to the real thing actually.

Looking good!
Have you been using the body for target practice or something?
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Not quite, but it's been through a lot. The original Squier it came from was smashed and rebuilt several times times, and then it served as part of an art installation / kettle holder at our rehearsal space for a few years, before I ressurected it with a new neck and the thinline guard.

I've wanted one of these ever since I saw Jeff Beck play it during The Secret Policeman's Other Ball:

It's an Edwards Custom Shop (ESP) replica of the guitar Jeff Beck used to record "Blow By Blow." It's an early Xmas present from my Hubby!

Wow thats super cool. Very nice. With a little reshaping, that guard could look even better.

Beautiful guitar Maggie. Congrats!
Beck totally roasts Clapton on their duet/duel. You can see Clapton give up at the end. Great guitar choice.

Thanks! It plays great, even if I'm not used to such tall frets and have notes go sharp if I get too heavy handed.
"Cause We've Ended As Lovers" just blew me completely away and then when they get into that duel...wow. It took me thirty years to find one, but man, totally worth it.

I gave up on the build thread I started because I kept forgetting to take pictures and people didn't seem particularly interested... but here's the yellow parts tele I built for my wife for christmas!
Mystery bar magnet neck pickup- which actually sounds alright- and a Lawrence L-298 in the bridge. The 298 sounds unbelievable, it's like a PAF with tele twang and clarity. I'm probably going to get one of the less hot-rodded L-290s for my black tele, and I'm definitely going to get one of his neck pickups for
this guitar somewhere down the road.

Yeah- I feel like my phone's camera is uncharacteristicly shitty for its generation. We also have shit lighting in our apartment, and the matte finish probably doesn't help... Excuses, excuses- yeah, it's black. I love that blue, but I dont think I'd be into it on a tele- I'm weird about reds and blues on them for some reason.

Since I ripped the TM apart, this has gone back to its regular configuration:
Which is to say, how I originally put it together.
I have a few more, a greenburst I play live (because it matches everybody else's pieces), a squier cab I leave at work, and I'm building up a 3ts thinline currently. But this blue one is my first love.
