Lots of variations all the way back to p1. Some monstrousities, some pretty well done.
To each his own, and whatnot.

Tripple tele, came with three custom shop nocaster pickups, a real tone monster. I only changed the pickguard, it came with the one-ply black.
With another monster tele, and one non-monster:

The webs were buzzing with fervor over that triple deal. How is it?

Surprisingly good. Really well made craftsmanship wise, and tonally a real beast. Very solid sounding, almost P90-ish with way less hum and a bit lower output. Nice and thick but with great articulation. They sold for $379 and free shipping.Chippertheripper wrote:The webs were buzzing with fervor over that triple deal. How is it?

Re: post your MONSTER TELES!
I don't know if my tele qualifies as a Monster but a hybrid, maybe?
AVRI '52 body
Warmoth neck (compound radius, rosewood fret board, '59 profile)
Amp knobs
Faction guitars control plate
3-way toggle switch
Tulip tuners
Black anodized pickguard
Harmonic Design S90 pickups
Callaham bridge
It's a work in progress over the last few years. I really like this guitar!

How does the Tele bridge pickup in the neck position sound?

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.tribi9 wrote:A lot of these are normal Teles… not really MONSTER at all..

Re: post your MONSTER TELES!
Really hard to describe as it's not really like any traditional tone/sound. It does not sound like a strat, that's for sure, none of the positions do despite the five-way switch. It has lots of clarity, very good balance through all strings, but also much warmer than the bridge pickup alone sounds. I like the middle one best, then neck, then bridge. The 2&4 positions are in my opinion a bit of a meh, but that might just be me. Anyway, I like the sound of these pickups a lot.mijmog wrote:I've always wanted to know about these but was too afraid to ask...PixMix wrote:Tripple tele, came with three custom shop nocaster pickups, a real tone monster. There should be a flood of broadcaster pups hitting the market any day. A lot of cats bought these things to rip them apart and do whatever with, since they were so cheap.

I have Tele GAS right now.
I wish Fender didn't get rid of these because they're hard to find already. Tele in Jaguar scale with a Guild neck pickup

^I remember those, they were from Modern Player series. I really came close to pulling the trigger on one. It sat on my shopping cart for a long time. Perhaps used one can be had for not too much dineros.

Re: post your MONSTER TELES!
Yeah, I bet they can if I can find one, the last one was sold for like $300 on Reverb. I have an alert set up on Reverb though. There must have just been not that many made because I can't find any on Reverb or eBay. Just have to keep an eye out I guess.PixMix wrote:^I remember those, they were from Modern Player series.
