Re: Show your LAWSUIT guitars!!!
Here are my MIJ "lawsuit" guitars . Took me awhile to come across both but glad I was patient and kept on it.
Ibanez 2365 (no name on headstock though). I made a truss rod cover and found some appropriate knobs on ebay.
Greco RG-80
One prior owner ditched the original Truss Rod cover and made a Ric copy with clear plexi and a photo copy placed underneath. Another owner added actual Ric pickups. I have since added new knobs and a Bigsby via a vibramate. I used one made for Telecasters but ditched the tele bridge part. I found the Reverb sale that brought it to the US while doing a google search for more info.

A japanese law suit black beauty is a bucketlist guitar for me.amplituden wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 9:51 am
Here is a close shot of the heel you can see the nice binding.
Tell me, how's the neck? Is it fat? Are the frets low a wide like a "fretless wonder?"
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Re: Show your LAWSUIT guitars!!!
The neck is pretty chunky which I like because I have big hands. The frets are pretty wide yes.
My friend just had this guitar in her basement for years and never played it. She knew I liked it so out of the blue she just gave it to me. I have been looking for one of these forever as well. Pretty wild.
Because its been sitting for a while it needs some work to get it back to awesome but thanks to COVID I basically almost never leave the house so I have something to do at least.

That is so cool! Lucky you. There's something so slyly rebellious about having a ripoff version of Gibson's most decadent flagship guitar. Even better if it's Japonese. It's hard to explain, but easy to appreciate. Congrats.

Re: Show your LAWSUIT guitars!!!
I'm trying to make a post of one of my old lawsuit Flying V guitars, it is an Aztec out of Germany... not doing so well trying to figure this out... Any help would be welcome for showing me how to post pictures. Thank you all and Merry Christmas!
