killer. a white Tele with a mint guard and rosewood fretboard is my absolute favorite.MrFingers wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 6:58 am
Here are my 2 brethren. Would love to own a '72 Thinline "to spice things up a bit", but I've ran out of rackspace to house one, and there are other humbucker guitars I covet as well (I'm not a humbucker-guy to begin with).
The sunburst one is strung with roundwounds, the white one with thick flatwounds. The sunburst sounds bright & twangy, the white one sounds like getting your face kicked in with a mallet.

I am curious why you thought the thinline elite was better than the plain tele elite. I know that some pieces can shine more than others, especially when you add an acoustic element, but I found the thinline's lacking in presence a little bit, but I think I only tried one or two.BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Sat Mar 17, 2018 8:15 amYup. Fender Telecaster Thinline Elite. It's the nicest guitar in the Elite lineup by far.Spir4L wrote: ↑Sat Mar 17, 2018 8:12 amIs it a fender?BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Sat Mar 17, 2018 7:58 amTried one of these out in a guitar store yesterday and it was INCREDIBLE.
Nicest Telecaster I've played in a long time.

I love that bridge on the Tele thinline. It sits low in the end grain. Rings like a bell.Magnatoner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 2:12 pmI am curious why you thought the thinline elite was better than the plain tele elite. 1983, Squier Japan SQ series.
There are many guitars in this world (and in my wardrobe) but this will always be my favourite.

Self-assembled 12-string job I did about 2 years ago. Heaps of fun to play.
Body by Warmoth, neck USACG. Finish (Taos Turquoise) by MJT. "Narrow Range" pickups by Curtis Novak.

Re: Forgot how much I love Teles, AKA Tele Appreciation Thread
This is my current tele and tele-ish situation: 2012 52 AVRI, Tripple Tele, and a Bastardcaster. The 52 AVRI just got a refret and it has turned my interests to teles again. Gasing really bad for a tele with a mini humbucker on the neck, like those 52 Hot Rods.

Love the blue headstock / white body! How much different do the JM pickups sound in the tele?

Thanks! It sound like a jazzmaster, perhaps a bit more bare bone tone (no jm trem, shorter string length), but jazzy tone there definitely. The blue headstock neck came from a blue tele I refinished years ago.popvulture wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 1:33 pmLove the blue headstock / white body!
