All these new posts had me thinking the body was back from paint. Looking good anyway.

that looks amazing. any word on when you're getting it back? did they use nitro or something else? (wondering if you're going to have to anxiously wait in limbo for that excruciating 30 day wait with nitro.)

It's a Urethane finish, so waiting for it to dry shouldn't be a big issue. It still needs clear coats & buffing, but that shouldn't take too much longer. I'm optimistic that I'll have it by the end of the month.

Thanks guys.

In the pic from Tuesday, there was a mustang with a Jazzy tremolo right next to my body on the rack. It isn't mine, but I'm really pleased to see the color it received. So I thought I'd post it up as well. I'd love to see the finished guitar. This seems like it should belong to a poster here. I'll probably just have to use my imagination though.

BTW, if you get really excited about cool colors, Guitar Paint Guys, is always posting really great looking stuff on their page. I've been checking semi-daily, to see progress on mine, and have seen a ton of gorgeous stuff in that time.

Yet another picture.

Later in the day I got a shipping notification. The body should be back home early next week. I'm taking the Monday and Tuesday before Independence day off, so I'll have a five day weekend to get everything assembled and set up.

First time poster here, but have been lurking for a while. I love the way that this build is taking shape. I gotta thank you for sharing these photos, because without them, I never would have been introduced to the guitar paint guys. They happen to shoot a color that I have been looking high and low for. I hope to start that project soon.

Your guitar finish looks stunning and I can't wait to see it completed!

Thanks you two and welcome to AcrylicSuperman. I'm curious as to which color you were looking for. Please post about your project when it kicks off.

UPS tracking says delivery is scheduled for Tuesday. I was already planning to work from home that day since I have to get my roof replaced (there was a big hail storm in my part of the city while I was on vacation). So that should be an eventful day and I'm sure I'll get lots of work done.
