Vibrolux is a great match for a Jazzmaster so don't know where it was dreamt up.
To be fair, I could play a fart noise through my vibrolux reverb and I'd still think "wow, listen to how amazing that amp sounds"

I remember when I was 12 and first started playing. I thought a Fender amp would not be compatible with my epiphone because the brands were different
Unicorn Warrior, it upsets me to this day seeing one brand strap used with another brand guitar - so maybe you were right all along??

Could be the 400PS for the first one for guitars, though I don't know if that was still out with the 300 PS. Only way to describe that amp is SVT killer.

Making a bit of a deal over a simple marketing chart - for mom and dad coming into the store to buy Junior his Christmas present, here's the price-equivalent amp!

Three strange things about that chart. Why are Starcasters at the top instead of Strats or Teles? Jazzmasters and Twins are no bueno? Por que? And where is the Jaguar? That was a top of the line instrument as far as concept goes, if not sales.

What am I supposed to play my Fender 12 through? A Marshall JCM 800?

I think the Jaguar was officially discontinued, or at least stopped appearing in catalogues or advertising, in 1975.

Yep. It wouldn't have appeared in a 1976 catalog. They brought it back in the late 90's, I believe?

The Starcaster was just out in '76. I guess they were keen to push it hard. The cover of that catalogue has a Starcaster on it.

And of course, there's the fact the Starcaster was the most expensive guitar in the book at the time.

Hey Simon! Good to see you on here. Which Starcaster did you get in the end?

Thanks mate! There's a blonde one on it's way from Europe.... Will post an NGD if it ever arrives, the suspense is killing me!

How's yours with your new amp? And more to the point, does your new amp correspond correctly with the chart?!

YUS bassman 50's are compatible with all basses..... so plugging any of my guitars into it would be a dirty dirty act.

One should probably not plug a Jazzmaster into the Bright channel of a 68 Bassman with a 2X15" cab. ;)
