Trade advice
I have a Guild T-Bird ST. If you’re unfamiliar with the ST’s it’s the stripped down version of the fully appointed T-Bird. Anyways, I’ve been offered a trade for a 2012 Epiphone Swingster Custom Edition in black. From what vids I heard on YouTube it sounds great. Anyone tried these or have any insight?

What don't you like about the Guild? What are you hoping to gain by this trade?
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

fwiw, I'd much rather have the t-bird. epiphones are a dime-a-dozen, and those guilds are cool as heck.

Re: Trade advice
I don’t have a hollow body, so that would be a gain. And the trem is a plus for me. As far as the Guild quirks go, I’m still getting used to the reverse offset feel. I’ve been playing Jazzmaster’s pretty much exclusively the last 10 years, so in all fairness most guitars will feel foreign to me at this point. Another quirk is the neck pickup is muddy, especially across the E-A-D strings. I’ve adjusted the pickup & that yielded little results. The bridge pickup I find to be a bit thin sounding. So yesterday I swapped the 2 pickups & it improved the guitar dramatically. The neck pickup is actually useful & I can now hear the guitars potential. I still have more tweaking to do, but for now I’m keeping it.

Do what ever makes you happy. Buy and trade for what inspires. You’ll make a mistake here and there, but in the end you’ll find certain guitars and amps that never leave your hands. Whatever is gonna make you play more.
