I don't understand how everything that's brown is apparently "poo" coloured.

What about CHOCOLATE, CARAMEL, COFFEE, PEANUT BUTTER coloured etc? Lots of nice tasty things that a brown thing could be called.
Nelvis is "NUTELLA"

I got it back!!!

The good: it sounds great, the 7 way switching was definitely the way to go.

The neck feels amazing and it stays in tune remarkably well.

The tech cleaned it properly, and it smells much better now.

The bad: the fret dressing didn’t remove all the buzzing. Second fret on the d, g and b string still buzz.

The location of the volume knob. This has bothered me on every strat I’ve owned, and is more a me thing.

The strings are just off the fretboard by the nut, and slapping a capo on the guitar fixes most of the buzzing, so I think that’s where the problem lies. The action in the first position is just off the frets, but is comfortable once you get above 5. It’s going back in next week when the repair tech gets off the road.

I’ll keep everyone posted.

on every strat i've owned (except the black one which i haven't changed yet) I've moved the vol pot down to the second hole, and wired up a master tone. Makes a world of difference for me. I hate where the volume knob is placed normally.
also, i like have the tone control wired to the bridge pup as well.
(Christopher, also)
I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

^^^

I forgot to mention in my mods rundown that I had them wire the second tone to the bridge pickup.

I raised the action a bit to help with the buzz till I take it in, im finding so many sounds in this thing.

Good move. Neck/Bridge is my favorite position on a strat these days and you won't regret moving the tone knob.

Sounds like this will be a fantastic guitar, trem or not.
