NGD 1963 ES-335 VOS
Here’s my new guitar! An ES-335 has been a dream guitar of mine for a long, long time and in particular the 60’s pointy horn shape. This one came up locally and at a pretty damn good price. I didn’t have any plans to buy a guitar anytime soon but I had to jump at the chance.
It plays and sounds great. These Memphis guitars are very well made. There is subtle flame in the top, back, and sides. Certain lighting really brings it out. The VOS finish is awesome, too. The finish is pretty dang glossy (which is great), thought the metals are little matte for me. They polish up with playing, though.
Here are some pictures. I have tons of trees and sunlight today so the pics aren’t great. They make the sunburst look uneven.

I've been super into ES guitars lately and just picked up a 2018 Memphis 335. I've been very impressed so far and don't see myself parting with it any time soon.
Congrats on the NGD!

Re: NGD 1963 ES-335 VOS
As silly as it sounds ... I think the cases on these reissues are fantastic.
The old cases are thin, a little flimsy and rock when you open them (the top and back are sort of bowed like the carve on the top and back of the guitar). That means when you put the guitar in the top can (if you're not careful) come crashing down before you've gotten the guitar into the case. But they have a very particular look with the black pebble covering and yellow interior.
The reissue cases absolutely nail the look of those old cases (I love the yellow interior - which, whenever I see it on guitar listings, makes me think right away of old ES guitars), whilst providing a far far better, more substantial and issue free case.

The case is great! I like that the lid stays open. I hate it when you’re about to put the guitar in the case and the lid wants to fall down closed. Scary stuff.
