White or cream fender barrel knob, ala brown and blonde amps could be cool.
They're a little too small. I put a spare brown knob on the guitar and it looked.... Odd. But I like them a lot!

Hmm...I can see that. You mean proportionally too small on the body?

Maybe a full sized Dakaware style then. Could see white or black.

I'm thinking dakaware too. I really like the Harmony knob on it currently. It's a good size for the guitar, but nobody has commented on it so it's probably not as sexy as I imagine it to be...

My original goal for this guitar was to have gold hardware and a gold foil in the bridge, but I already had so much Chrome hardware that I abandoned that. Pink and Gold just looks so good to my eyes. Gaudy in all the right ways.

I'm thinking of buying a used GFS Surf 90 for this guitar... It sounds wonderful as is, but man that bridge pickup has to be 15k. It's super loud! I have to lower it into the guitar to get it to match the output of say a vintage Tele. Lots of bite and twang, but it'll cut your head off!

I was going to say I like the knob, especially with the gold/chrome top (a bit of bling seems very necessary and in keeping with the overall aesthetic).

Harmony knob is cool but maybe a bit too vintage.

Get the Mean 90 btw. Much better P90 style if that's your thing. Those are in my Dot. Great pickups.

Interesting.... I might. I don't really do high gain or anything, usually. I like twang, chime, and jangle!

I was even thinking about a used Gretsch Filtertron....

Or maybe my spare Silverfoil?!? :0

The Mean90s I have are very much in the 8k territory. Not too hot at all, imo. Granted these are in a semi-hollow...

That's not too bad. Are they noisy at all? It was the "mean" part which made me think they were a tad hot.

I'd order them new, but shipping to Canada is almost as much as the pickups themselves... Oof. The used Surf 90 is about $25 ($37 Canadian). Not terrible.

The Surf could be what you're looking for...I've just read the Mean is the Superior of the two in sound - but YMMV ALOT. You know how that goes.

Either way GFS are a really good value in the budget market.

No Floyd = Not a Super Strat ;) :P
Be that as it may... There is nothing "super" about a Floyd, other than annoying.
Oh I think there is PLENTY to like about a Floyd, in the right context.

I used a JEM777 on a session recently and it fucking slayed for what I was being asked to do, which was sort of Vernon Reid-inspired.

And you CANNOT knock one out of tune, once you get it IN tune, which I’ll allow usually takes the better part of half an hour.

For this reason, I would only ever consider regularly performing live with one if I had a full time guitar tech and a spare side-stage at all times.

Any guitar that needs a full time tech in order to play live with can eat my shorts.

Dive bombs aside, what are people doing in live shows where your guitar gets wildly out of tune between songs?

(Apart from the time I left my guitar in a freezing car boot straight into a hot room for a show)

Murphy's Law of 'anything that can go wrong, will go wrong'.

The exact reason why I like to pack as little as possible, if and when I gig. Fewer moving parts means fewer broken pieces.
