New Jazzmaster build
Hi all,
New user here, at the start of a new build project. I fancied a Jazzmaster so decided to put one together myself.
This is the body:
I'm getting a neck from the same source as the body - rosewood fingerboard, frets dressed, edges rolled, nitro-finished, lightly aged, will look a bit like this:
I have pickups:
I just need to decide on the rest of the parts, then source and buy them!
What colour do you reckon for the pickguard?
I need to choose a trem and bridge - any good combinations?
Cheers,
R.

I think the W/B/W PG looks great with that gold.

I do like the W/B/W but I feel like tortoise would look great on this too. Similar to this:

Looks great so far!
It's not my project, but personally, you can't go wrong with parchment or some mint guards on gold. It's very classy. It's one of the few that tort doesn't look bad on though.

Stunning finish and very promising project.
I concour on going with a mint pickguard for a classy look... black if you want it to be a very mean machine

White, black, mint, tort, parchment. All good choices for it. My preference is still white but like Amon pointed out, black would be another great choice for that gold.

I've ordered some pickup covers in parchment, so I have a choice between that and white.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:53 amLooks great so far!

I know what you mean about the mint - needs to be a pretty subdued colour.

Re: New Jazzmaster build
Not just any Jazzmaster on the box there, a Squier VM Special. Weird!
