NBD (new bass day) with added problems
so. a few months ago my friend bought an epiphone EB 0 bass for some silly low ammount and the first time i seen it, i figured out why it looked funny. it had a 2 point instead of a 3 point bridge. i never got to see a good picture of the bridge. so she messages me last night saying she'll give me the bass for £20. sweet. £20 short scale bass.
the first thing your eye is drawn to, is that bridge.
that saddle which is meant to be in the grove wont intonate in there. it's also held on by the tension of the strings and the spacing is super tight. i knew i had seen this bridge before but i couldn't figure out where. luckily for me. my dad posted a picture of him playing his late 60's epiphone rivoli bass on facebook tonight. it hit me. its the same style of bridge as that. there is a few differences though. mainly his rivoli had the divet for the saddle to sit at an angle. i do want to say this bridge rattles like a mofo.
anyone know much about this bridge? any ideas for a cheap replacement?

What's the black thing that's plugging the third hole? If you can get that out I would imagine you should be able to find a replacement 3 point bridge like what came standard on it.

I’m going to dad rock you on this Sean. I’d have taken my £20 and made an investment towards a sheet and a duvet cover.

I mean, chances are that's an (if incomplete) vintage Gibson or Epiphone bridge you can sell it and raise some money towards a decent 3-point bridge instead.
