THIS!
Invaluable reference - thank you SO much, for posting that!!
Good to know. I'll add it to my resource folder. This makes me less determined to make it happen, but I will still explore bringing it down a little - I think it can handle it...
THIS!
Thanks for the kind words!
Hey, thanks. I've almost forgotten about this project, tbh. It's been with the Luthier for routing for so long now, hahahaha

I know some people think that they are pretty trebly, and I wonder how they would sound on a hollow. Good I'd bet...
Bilt is probably more in line with what I'm thinking. More traditional style JM pickups on a hollow-body. I've never played one. I'm sure they don't sound like a JM exactly, but are the pickups pretty cool sounding on a hollowbody?mbene085 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 9:37 pmShadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 7:51 pmOh that's cool as hell. The Pawn Shop Offset Special that they made for a few years had a semi-hollow body and JZHB stacked humbucker...so the answer to your question is either "yes" or "no" depending on whether you mean "JM pickup" in terms of shape or tone. Shape - yes. Tone - no.
As for boutique, Bilt has made plenty of Zaftigs with JM pickups.
I haven't played that combo in person but it sounds pretty good here...Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑ Bilt is probably more in line with what I'm thinking.
