Err do you mean 1950s or 1850s ? ;) ... It has a Steampunk vibe.

I think it looks really, really cool, but I find those Duesenberg-style arms infuriating: the screw just isn't enough to keep the arm from rotating and soon the tip starts to wander downwards. I might still want to try one, just for the looks...

Has anyone tried on of these? I've never heard of the company before- do they have something to do with Duesenberg? Their bio appears to have been written by a very drunk person with only a passing familiarity with English grammar. I mean this in the most tender and loving of ways.

I also am very interested in their product.

this looks great, and bizarrely, quite similar to those found on a barely googleable 60s UK maker's instruments, might give one a go on a build sometime, they look awesome

Yeah they're part of the Duesenberg and European Kluson family.

Where can one buy them? I've been looking all over, but all I can find is the regular Jazzmaster replica they make.

I'm sure you can order one through any Göldo dealer:

They probably just haven't had time to stock the new trem; it wasn't listed on Göldo site a few weeks ago.

I'm guessing it functions differently from a regular vibrato, but I can't for the life of me figure out how from the pictures.

The standard trem has the "moving plate" and the spring both under the "cover", when this one has the moving plate (mostly) over it, with only the spring below. I doubt it changes much the feeling of the trem system, but it gives direct access to where the bar plugs into the moving plate, allowing their adjustable bar holding system.

No, a german probably wrote it, not a frenchman. ;D

Also looks like the string ends are a lot closer to the bridge than on a trad trem and possibly (judging by the photos) sitting lower at that point than with a trad trem. So this might be another way to increase the break angle at the bridge on models with trad trem placement.

I thought that too initially until I looked at the pictures on their website. The resting position of the trem seems to make the strings roughly as high as they would be at that same point on a vintage trem. Visually, it looks like the break angle is unchanged to my eyes.

I agree, but note the bridge is set as low as can be on this picture.
