Re: NGD: Eastman T64/v
I was at an acoustic guitar store a month or so ago and they handed me an Eastman Acoustic, some kind of 00 sized thing with rosewood back and sides. Very well constructed guitar, without question.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

It wasn't quite that with the flamed top, but very close. Regardless, it was a very nice instrument, great sound and feel to it.

Re: NGD: Eastman T64/v
I know, right?!?
First Les Pauls and SGs, now a Casino-type, it's like I've gone over to The Dark Side!
You know what's funny? I don't feel the need to get anymore Fender offsets. Nelvis (ECJM) and Green Arrow (JMJAG) are, to me, so perfect that any other offset by Fender would be redundant.
Now, a Bilt Revelator or maybe a Volare...

Looks great Maggie, I much prefer it to the single cut you posted with the really awkward/ugly pickup mounts, much more elegant.

That looks fantastic - I love how the finish has worn through in places as well.
I've never heard of Eastman ... which surprises me as this is my sort of thing.
Good choice on the Casino/ES330 type guitar Maggie - my only gear regret is that I didn't hold onto a 330 in the great guitar shakeup of the last twelve months.
In terms of your comments about the guitar horde getting smaller but better, I can relate to this - I've gone from having a good few nice guitars, to fewer really nice guitars to a four absolute keepers.

Thanks, D. I don't know if you saw, but I rejiggered the LP Studio to make it look (and sound) like a proper Les Paul. The Tokai still has that 70's gaudy thing going going on, but it might be on the chopping block. There's a Gretsch George Harrison Duo Jet at Lidgett's that I'd like to have.shadowplay wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 2:53 amLooks great Maggie, I much prefer it to the single cut you posted with the really awkward/ugly pickup mounts, much more elegant.

Thanks! There really is something special about the T64/Casino/330type of guitar. I haven't played it enough to put it into words, though. Anyone else with more experience want to have a go?Despot wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 4:52 amThat looks fantastic - I love how the finish has worn through in places as well.

This, in a band with the Hahn Model C...what a combo that would be!
