NAD

Post by ludobag1 » Sat Jul 13, 2019 1:30 am

it is not the day i find it but is my new amp
67 blackface bandmaster head (inside the componements are 66 ,but the label is 67 )
Image

sound really great and i have order a 2x12 cab with weber 12f150 for him
the cab actually is an homemade one with a eminence EPS 15 great for the quilter head with 300 watts rating but sound good also with it ,but i want to try the 2x12 another time ,last was a supersonic cab with v30, sound good enought (i don't find the V30 too bad to my tastes )but heavy as a horse to move 33kg ! :fp: the new will be 21 kg really less weight and will be easy to move

Belle machine.

Merci.

has the cabinet been refinned? it's pretty CLEAN looking. I have a 65 and 67 bandmaster both are nowhere near that clean
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

the cabinet is home made with the speaker it weight only 17 kg (i think i have post in the Workbench thread 2 years ago the building ,the side are in pine with bracing Inside to renforce it and the baffle plank and back in plywood,i was fed up to bring the supersonic cabinet ,too much weight 33 kg ,with this one i have more or less the half of weight,it is not hard to make a cabinet but you need some tool and also to be précise to have Something straight with 90 degré angle ,i Don't make finger joint cause i have not the tool for ,but i put some bracing to renforce the structure ,and i let the less screws in after gluing for avoid weight ,screws weight !

for the dynamique less than the the bandmaster head but even as the Deluxe reverb ,the bassman head and the supersonic head 60 i have before ,then i used really often the quilter instead of the others for weight avoid

i have buy the bandmaster to a tech that serviced it ,it is like a new one with the bias set up correctly(i think it is the bias who make it sound really cool ), and all the tube are news

Nice amp!
Those Framus cabs are great too. I'd sugest changing the grillcloth but I see you already did that. Looks great! Enjoy it.
