Was it sprayed on top of the Fiesta Red or completely stripped and refinished?
You said this will "lead to vintage" then I guess it has been completely redone in nitro but... question is... are you going to relic or will you let it age naturally?
Yes, right over the Fiesta Red. I am going to let it age naturally. no relic stuff with this one (although I do like the relic'd look).

Thank for the compliments guys......so in the middle of this Competition Burgundy (mist) project, a true Vintage Competition Burgundy mustang surfaced out of somebody's collection. This I couldn't help myself. Out of the 1,000's of competition mustangs I've seen over the last 20 years only a handful of examples have the back striping, I think I have photos of about 10 or so. My thought was factory workers may have found it too timely to line up the stripes at the edges and the back stripes were abandoned for front striping only. Love the unfaded purple and blue bursting on this beauty. The headstock has less purple on it.

I'm not sure I've ever really wanted a Mustang badly. I think you may have changed that. :)

wow, both of these are beyond stunning... the attention to detail on the stripe(burgundy) is amazing!! such a clean intersect to the back.. that’s super hard to do well.
