London Guitar Show - Vintage Offset Report...
I just got back from my yearly trip to the London Guitar Show.
I saw a few nice vintage offsets, so I thought I'd snap a few pictures for OSG.
Overall, cool guitars...astronomic prices on pretty much everything...maybe I'm just out of the loop on the prices...god knows.

Think thats the black XII from Hanks that I saw the other day. Looked awesome but if the Jazzmasters and Jags were anything to go by it must have been about double the price...

Provided that the finish was original, it was the rarest guitar in the building. It stopped me at my tracks...very rare to see it in Black.

Yeah, I'd happily walk out with the gorgeous black XII and the Texan next door.

Re: London Guitar Show - Vintage Offset Report...
thanks for sharing that report
My opinion on the prices: there aren't many unmolested vintage offsets floating around in Europe anymore and prices are constantly increasing, also caused by Reverb asking prices and all that daily /weekly rare vintage guitar videos (my opinion), and there was and is still a recent mainstream offset hype going on so that even "traditional" Strat and Tele players are suddenly considering and collection those.
On the other hand - and I am sure that this is no news for you - UK dealer prices were always much higher than the rest of the continent and both Europe and UK prices always much higher than US prices --- + plus all the recent Cites I fear that was caused by Cites II (when it comes to imports and exports)

I work at the shop where Bills old Mustang is stocked! The Little Guitar Shop here in Birmingham.
I played those Jags- was quite disappointed actually. The '62 Jazzmaster however was bloody lovely.

Does anyone else thing that the upper horn on the black XII looks somehow less curved than normal? Is that just a trick of the light/perspective or is there something unusual about the radiusing or contouring?
