The bold font makes it just look more badass somehow. Maybe also because it‘s closer to the Jaguar font that way - and because these heastocks came with the Block-inlays?!

I picked 64-66...but to be honest, I can't see much difference between them .
If I was a byrd, I'd be mighty sore every time they shut the door and I don't think I'd sing...

Haha....that one is a bit too progressive for me. I’m a stick in the mud!

I’ve always been a fan of the Fender ‘transition’ decal. On a JM i prefer it with the smaller headstock, but on a Strat i get really excited about the transition decal on the larger ‘CBS’ headstock. Dunno why - maybe because there are relatively few of them it’s a novelty?

am i right in thinking the 68- jazzmaster headstock is the same as the cbs strat headstock?

The large headstock designs were pretty much the same shape across all models that used them, so yea you're are correct.
