The starcaster's truss adjustment is at the top... not good for a replica even aside from the scale issue. Besides, it's an Affinity-level (or lower) quality neck. My advice would be to go for a better neck if you're going through the trouble of building a copy. You could easily crop the headstock of a MIJ jag (or aftermarket) neck to make the arrow, after all... that's what Fender did.

So I think I'm going to have a new body for my swinger made. The body I have now is pretty beat up.
I want to do this because I want my Swinger to be a gigging guitar, but I'm hesitant to gig with such a rare guitar. So my plan is to have a body made, and keep the original body in storage. Who knows, maybe even sell it for a profit.
If anybody is also thinking about a Swinger copy, PM me. I've got tracings and templates, and on top of that, I know a luthirer that would be willing to make a copy body for me.
