There is in fact a Schecter 7 string Jaguar. They came in sunburst and black and I think even CFM.

As long as the p-bass pickups had blade polepieces, that would probably work just fine. Also, it would be cool as hell. I wonder how that would sound.

Oh, I've just remembered one I saw a long time ago on AliExpress. You're going to have to take my word for it, because it looks like it's been pulled since ― thankfully.

It was a guitar shaped like a Swastika ― definitely not a Hindu one, as it was painted in the colors of the German flag. I shit you not.

With the dual P-Bass pickups I now wish that it was a bastardized mix of a Electric XII and a weird early 80s BC Rich Bass. GIVE ME A MOCKINGBIRD 12, YOU COWARDS.

In theory, shouldn't the P-Bass pickups work just fine for a guitar though? Each string/string pair would still be in between 2 pole pieces, just like the bass strings, and there are a few guitar pickups that already do that.

I'm sure it would work fine, just as a Strat pickup works fine in Musicmaster and Bronco basses. In fact I've been very curious about trying bass pickups in guitars myself... It's just that it looks pretty tacky on a guitar that is trying (not very hard, admittedly) to look like a Fender XII.


Anyway... I know some people on OSG are quite sensitive about the shape of the current Mustang control plate, and how it doesn't closely follow the edge of the body. So...

I stand by my opinion on TEH KURDTZ... great singer and songwriter for sure but terrible guitar tone and a terrible guitar designer.

The production on Nevermind is incredible. Butch Vig made a DS-1 work, imo.
