Carl Wilson Electric XII Prototype
Aiming for this
So far got these
The bridge is missing saddles/barrels..
Shapeways do a set based on a Squier Venus XII, which will be my fallback.. But!
If anyone out there has the skills, Or knows someone with the skills to make a set in brass, please PM me.
Cheers

Wow!
Makes me wonder, does the Internet know what happened to that guitar?

Great idea for a project. I'd seen photos of it for years before I noticed the Mustang switching.
Another (clearer) photo for anyone who hasn't seen this beast before.

Oooo....
Carl Wilson- Master of the 'flat-front-moose-knuckle' look!
All that, and a XII too... stuff of dreams.

Additionally, the string trees can be difficult to track down. If you don't already have one, there's a seller on Reverb that makes both the six hole and eight hole version.

Very cool.
I was considering building one of these. Glad you beat me to it.

Did you or someone you know cut that body? I'm looking for someone who can make one spec'd to the original bridge like the one you have there.
I remember there was an amazing post on the forum where someone documented all the barrel sizes. It looked really useful.

Is the idea that each 3-way switch selects N/N+B/B for the bass-side or treble -side respectively? Because I made a Jaywalker like that!!
