Yeah, there’s definitely a point where there isn’t as much to be gained. I agree on the pots, caps, and wiring. Those are definitely a big piece of the puzzle. The bridge pickup would be nice too. But almost 500 bucks for a switch tip I’d hold off on that for now too.

For sure. I've got a lead on a pickup that might cost me about £450 with it's cover, that's not too bad in the grand scheme of things. The switch tip, well, knowing my luck I'd buy one and then lose it

If I can grab that pickup for that sort of money then I'll definitely be in for <5k. Plus, I can sell that 68/69 P90 if I want to to offset some of the cost. Or keep it and put it in a future project.

Turns out you have to plug them in the front. Who knew?
