Re: Zhivago's Vintage Hotties - 1964 Epiphone Crestwood
i have the body to one of these sitting in my room awaiting parts. its a '62 and beat to shit. the neck and headstock both were repaired and it has no hardware but damn it it light as a feather. its gunna get some p-90s eventually and it seems like it will scream. plus i only traded a crappy SS amp and a tape recorder for it!
make feedback, not war. pick it up! pick it up! up, up!

i hate to nitpick, but the guitar in the first post is actually a wilshire. crestwoods had blocks and binding... there's always loads of confusion on this though, especially since epiphone reissued the wilshire with blocks, but without binding.

That's weird. I'm pretty sure the ri I ( btw, just didn't have the money for it) played had binding.mynameisjonas wrote: i hate to nitpick, but the guitar in the first post is actually a wilshire. crestwoods had blocks and binding... there's always loads of confusion on this though, especially since epiphone reissued the wilshire with blocks, but without binding.

here's something you don't see everyday,
"Epi" is a 1966 Epiphone Wilshire 12 String solid body in cherry. An Aquarius who digs jangle, George Harrison, Tom Petty and the Bryds, and long slow string changes.

Oh, for the days when Epiphone made more than one cool guitar (the Sheraton).
