Hey,
finally! AVRI pups added!
And a litlle present, the GFS hot but only the bridge position. This pickup is not Hot but Incandescent! SJM 2 and 3 are soft behind it!

Just listened to the Novak JM-V neck compared to the AVRI neck and can't tell the difference!! Someone else please verify. Maybe my ears are shot....

The novak JM-V have less hi ends and a little bit more mid-bass but your ears aren't shot, there's a subtle difference between all the "vintage like" neck pups because of the chord vibration.doctorock78 wrote:Just listened to the Novak JM-V neck compared to the AVRI neck and can't tell the difference!! So why does almost everyone rave about the benefit of swapping stocvk AVRI's out with Lollar / Novak / Pickup Wiz and the like? Shall we revisit this debate?

Sorry I sound like a jackass in the last post. I have the JM-V neck and JM-90 bridge and they sound phenomenal. Just wondering how different botiques actually sound from the AVRI?

Re: Jazzmaster pickup comparison
IMO it's the best Q/P set, the AVRI neck pup is really good but the bridge pup is too trebly. That's why most people are searching for an other set.doctorock78 wrote:Sorry I sound like a jackass in the last post. I have the JM-V neck and JM-90 bridge and they sound phenomenal. The bridge pup is the key and you know it's always the same with any guitars pup, there's no dramatics difference with anykind of neck pup if you respect the basic architectur.

Thanks very much! Those who don't dabble in modding JMs might not know exactly how time consuming what you did would be.
Good deals with: kifla, Pacafeliz, AWSchmit, Curtis Novac, and others

I have set of Lollars sitting on the shelf for when I finally get my Jazzy, and I'm happy with my choice after listening (repeatedly!) to your soundfiles. I might possibly have chosen the JM-Vs had I known of their existence before I got the Lollars- maybe. That Kami neck pickup- Thanks!
