Replacement Fender Coronado Bridge

Hi y'all,

I recently acquired a 1966 Fender Coronado II. It's friggin' sweet! I love it!

One thing - it's got the non-adjustable wooden bridge and I'd like to install the tune-o-matic style like they have on the later years. Does anyone know where to get one? Should I just have my local Luther put together something?

TOM's have a 12" radius, while your Coro has a 7.25" radius.

I figured the TOMs have gibson spacing and radius. Dang. I guess I'll just keep an eye on that on on ebay...

or you can take a mustang or jazzmaster bridge and tear off the legs. INSTANT Coronado bridge, and 100% compatible!
That's what i did and it worked great!

Interesting! I was thinking a mustang bridge would somehow work. ....And I do have a friend who's a metal-worker. Good idea!

you don'T need a metal-worker.
Step 1: Put your Mustang bridge in a fixed clamp. (your left hand can do)
Step 2: using vice grips, firmly grasp leg of bridge and apply outward force.
Step 3- Leg separates from bridge plate!
Step 4- repeat on other leg.

Done!

NB- if leg tries to resist, and plate starts to flex, apply force in other direction to even out the flex.
NB2- This worked perfectly on a Warmoth mustang bridge. I am not responsible if you have a different result with a bridge of other origin!
