it's kind of like a minimalist version of the loveless cover.case_dizzle wrote:It was in the library here. Doesn't have measurements though.

what are you talking about? mustangs and jags are both 24" scale.AngryHatter wrote:Medium scale - a Mustang is short scale - considerably shorter than a Jag.

Re: Full Scale Jaguar
I measured how far back the bridge has to be by subtracting the length of a Strat neck, nut to end of the neck heel, from 25.5". On the body, taking that distance from the neck heel to where the bridge should sit... its exactly .75" lower than the current bridge. That's not very far. One idea that i have is to get one of those Tele bridges that are lopped off to not include the pickup (see the GE Smith Tele). If you mounted that where the original bridge was, you could have enough clearance back to move the saddles back .75". You could files slots into the saddles and viola, you would also solve the crappy bridge issue.
Here is a quick mock-up of what it would look like: (with a TV jones in there too)

Personally I'd go with a floating bridge... or actually not - I doubt any of them have a small enough radius. But floating bridges are the bee's knees.

A floating bridge would be much easier. You could just file some slots into the right radius. The Dead Ranch Hands wrote:Personally I'd go with a floating bridge... or actually not - I doubt any of them have a small enough radius. But floating bridges are the bee's knees.
You'd also have maybe modify the rosewood base as well... my image isn't totally to scale, but it would probably overlap on the metal plate..

Re: Full Scale Jaguar
Of course, the byproduct of this is you will end up with less string distance behind the bridge - kind of like a classic player.
