FWIW, my CP actually came with an AVRI trem unit with a push-in arm. I had it replaced with the "correct" CP trem unit and I am much happier with the CP trem unit. YMMV.

Yeah, I should just leave things alone, actually works fine. Maybe a little stiff, though. Seems like I always gotta tinker. I did change out the CP bridge for an AVRI. That and the p'ups were great mods.

Its a push in.

Guitar Center in Hollywood had all three colors in stock last weekend, but the blue one is now in my possession.

Looks like Fender removed 50th Anniversary Jaguar from their websites...

I guess because it's now 51 years since the first Jags...

Glad I bought one new just recently before they ran out of stock. It is a killer guitar and so pretty! I went with lake placid blue. Been trying not to want a burgundy mist before they sell all of those!

It's a very nice guitar, and the blue one looks much better in person.

But I think that if it had the tremolo on the "correct" position it would have been a best-seller.

I think so too. Like an American Standard Jaguar or something.

Hi, I wondered if you've had any problems with the paint on your LPB Jaguar 50th Anniversary?
Regards,
Kevin

I have. First one I got seemed to have cured in the case when I received it: the plush pattern ahd ingrained itself at all areas in contact with the plush, that is body (rear) and neck (behind first fret). Bought online from a Canadian Fender dealer; after being given the runaround, I got in touch with anauthorized Fender service center about 35 miles away, who would have nothing to do with the guitar, not even have a look at it, instead sermoning me for not buying locally. Got in touch with Fender, who suggested I go through my selling deaer, who finally reluctantly took the guitar back. Took a while (couple of months - and got a few servings of BS in the meantime) before I received a replacement. It exhibited the same pattern again, but only very, very slighlt and I just gave up on getting a perfect one.

Now noticed recently a tiny chip that came off (by magic?), and also unfortunately had a slip of a light Phillips #1 screwdriver that chipped the finish right away down. Also, the wood underneath the finsih seems to be developing tiny ridges visible when you look from a certain angle. Not sure if the chips are through to the wood, but what shows through is rust-colored.

Nice guitar otherwise.
