tgif, am i right? anyway i had this idea in my head and now that i've mocked it up, i'm not sure if i like it.

i guess it's basically like the thurston moore jm, i just wanted something a little more vibrant.

I think it looks great. Maybe not what I would rock onstage, but there's a place in the world for that color scheme. A good place. And there's no punchline to go with that. A good place.

the colour scheme is ok but i think the tort is a bit too much

hmm... I do like it a bit, but my rule on guitars is:

Tort guard
Transparent finish
Vibrant color

Any two work, but three just feels a little too "busy"

This one seems close to being an exception

I think transparent finishes on an offset could be very nice. I like greens but prefer more blue-green shades.

Awhile back (maybe 10 or 15 years ago) Fender offered a teal green transparent on ash bodies for american deluxe models - loved that color! I remember a particular american deluxe strat in that color with gorgeous grain in the ash body that looked striking with a mint green pickguard. I couldn't quite justify paying that much at the time, but it was the prettiest strat I've ever seen. Would love to have a JM or Jag like it. :? :?
