*removes glasses* Mother of God.

I don't think I'm worthy of a Jazzmaster anymore.

Things like that make me want to burn my guitars and take up triangle, or something simpler...

Of course it's alive - you cannot make music with dead Muppaphones.

Nice to see this online again!
It's probably the video I've watched the most to practice a song. And I still can't nail it :fp:

Love that Roy Clark clip. It led me to this one of Charo. I had no idea she was this talented in the guitar realm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_McDOa6T ... re=related

Nuts! I was never aware of his playing ability, although I saw plenty of Hee Haw in the 70's. I was slightly aware of Charo's ("cuchi-cuchi") playing, but both are quite the talents.

Thank GOD I'm not religious!

Took me about 20 years to figure out that Buck Owens and Roy Clark weren't comedians, but two of the greatest country musicians ever. If you haven't listened to Buck Owens, check him out.

Youtube sort of fails- Owens did an embarrassing amount of lipsyncing for TV appearances- don't let that throw you. During times of unexpected heartbreak, I have been known to celebrate my AMerican heritage by drinking whiskey and listening to Mr Owens. Glenn Campbell too, actually.

One of my personal Brushes With Fame: my sister's freshman college roommate at University of Tennessee-Martin was the daughter of the Hee Haw hambone guy.

Pathetic, but true.
