Woah, a (non-Vibro) Champ for £599?!!

What's the story, is it anyone you know, or just a random Gumtree or FB marketplace sale or something?

I'd definitely be interested in hearing a bit more detail about it. Please let me know when you have a spare moment 🙏

Also thank you to everyone here for their help and knowledge, I really appreciate it. Cheers - Lee

That is a solid deal for anyone. I don't know why I didn't already buy it. Oh well. Good karma goes around.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

⬆️

That looks perfect! Johnny, thank you 🙏 I'll contact them to see if they can ship to my home address. A lot of companies say they will, but then their courier drops the parcel off at a depot which is a 90 minute walk from my place. Fingers crossed 🤞

Oh thank fuck Doug's back. I was worried he might be in ill health (or worse). That mans videos have been like a warm blanket to my amp learning curve for years and I missed them.

That's tomorrow mornings watching sorted then :-*

Lee, have you checked Leboncoin? There's several SF Champs and Vibros for sale, some of them with a shipping option.

Interesting! The description mentions an EL84 tube though so it's not a 1:1 clone of the Champ circuit.

Believe it or not, a '70s Vibro-Champ came up for sale for €250 in my area on Leboncoin a couple of weeks ago and I missed it by about 10 minutes :fp:

Ah, that's a bummer.

I got a non-reverb for £100 in 2020:

Should have kept it but I was locked out from working because of Covid 19 so I flipped it for £650 overnight. No regrets.

I actually had that in my shopping cart, but then I had two buyers that pulled out of buying a guitar and a bass, so the money didn't materialise as quickly as planned. Which is a bummer. But someone will get an absolute steal with that amp!

Yes! Every day! I've got 'Fender Champ' as a saved search so I get email notifications, but a lot of the non-modded ones are the ones where the buyer won't ship them. I can collect in person maybe as far as the northern edge of Limoux, which is a 90 minute walk from here. But Limoux only really has brass bands and accordion players. Like, there's no dedicated live music venues around here so interesting musical gear shows up very infrequently.

But I'll get a Champ, I know it.
