Deluxe Reverb Tremolo Strength Fluctuation
I can't tell if I am insane, but it seems like sometimes the tremolo is weaker than other times on my Deluxe Reverb.
It is on. There is a clicking sound, which is from the tube being too strong, from what I've read elsewhere on here. So..the tube is working. It just like it is barely doing anything, even with the intensity on 10. I swear I heard it sounding stronger (choppier) in the past.
I also noticed that the reverb seems to be adding more high end than I remember before.

OK here's the link for the Surf Bug:

Looks like they DO use neon... somewhere there's one with an LED, but I have no idea where to find it. You could always make your own with an LED, but that's a bit more involved a project.

It's a 71, so maybe optoisolater has met its maker...
Thanks for the advice!

I would actually be willing to bet money that this is the case. It's right on time.Mr. Peabody wrote: It's a 71, so maybe optoisolater has met its maker...

Re: Deluxe Reverb Tremolo Strength Fluctuation
Well, my brother in law just gave me some other power tubes to try, and I was thinking about getting a better rectifier tube, so maybe it's time for some general TLC.

Re: Deluxe Reverb Tremolo Strength Fluctuation
I live on the edge of Brooklyn and Queens.
When I bought the amp (around 6 months ago) it had already been partially recapped. I got the rest taken care of immediately, so it should be good in that regard.
