Marshall cab question

Post by cmatthes » Sat Apr 28, 2007 8:36 am

Any Marshall guys here able to assist with this little mystery?

I'm trying to date this Marshall 1936 (2x12) cab and am turning up with nothing.  By my guess, it's late '80s, but I don't know squat about Marshall serial #s, etc.  Here are some pics, if that helps at all...

It's got the JCM 800 Lead Series badge in the lower left

G-12T-75s, with an earlier label than on the pre-JCM 900 800 Series models from 91-92 that I've seen...

Serial is #4696 - that means nothing to me!  One thing that's throwing me off is the 130W rating.  Most of the ones I've seen are either 140W (mid 80s) or 150W (89/90-92).

Any clues?

Thanks!
