The seller, unfortunately, packed the whole thing in peanuts (?!) so I'll be digging those out for a while.  I now know not to trust sellers who've said that they ship lots of amps...

Goodness:
1. 67 transformers
2. blackline, drip edge, so I'm guessing it's still blackface inside

Weirdness:

1. what looks to be a master volume mod
2. 1 6l6 is microphonic (and a blackplate rca -- sigh), 1 6l6 is a ken-rad 6l6 GA (big ol' coke bottle)
3. needs new grounded plug
4. I'm sure it will need a cap job and the MV disengaged, if that's what it is, but I got it for fairly cheap and am willing to put a little bit of money into it.

Safe to plug into it for a minute?

Not a bad looking amp for a Silverface

one trip to a good amp guy and $150 and your amp will rule.
the guy I go to would charge $75 for this work, but hey not every dude rules as much as mine!
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

we'll see.  I talked with him for an hour (!) last night.  (chat chat chat reference some fender book chat chat rant rant chat)

turns out the key hole is actually a key hole (!).  if active, the amp will only turn on if you have the key (!).  I'd rather not lock myself out of my amp, though, so it'll stay inactive.

Will update within a week, when everything gets picked up.  My guess is that it'll be < $100 ($45 for thorough amp check, a few bucks for a bias ($25 if I remember right), plus whatever else needs to be done).  Might be more if it's the SF circuit, though.  He's cantankerous, he's a bit curmudgeonly, but is good and relatively cheap.  I'm also having him go through the wee bronco (vibro champ), which seems to be the SR sibling within a couple of months.  :D

Also, I would get him to replace the filter caps.  It will probably be about 75-100 bucks to do.  But it should be done at this point as preventive maintenance.  From the sound of your guy, he probably doesn't like preventive maintenance.  But that's just my opinion.
Three prong: check.

He said he was going to do the caps, if necessary.  I'll give him a ring to make sure.

Update 10/11:
signed off in March 1968 (my bronco, also in the shop, is June 68), needed lots of little tickytack stuff (a couple of 12ax7s where there should have been 12at7s or similar), new switches, some new wires, remove the "presence" mod, general tune up.  But... (bummer, slightly) the reverb transformer is shot, so that'll take a bit to order and install.  But...  it is a ab763 circuit with only a couple of minor mods, now all undone.  Basically one of the early silverfaces!  The blackline theory worked on this one.
