Or the other way around, mine can convert 110 to 240 and 240 to 110.

Buying from the states is not an option. :(

What about a Fender Hot Rod Deville? They must be loud enough for enough headroom, but do they come close (the 2x12, that is)?
I wouldn't think so, why would Fender manufacture cheaper amps with that tone?

But maybe i'm just searching for some kind of general Fender sound. ::)

You can't go wrong with a fender. Just try which ever ones you can. You might just find what you are looking for.

The Hot Rod series amps do sound very Fenderish, but they break up somewhat early.  I like my Hot Rod Deluxe, but it's just not the same.

They get a lot of bad rep on guitar forums, but mine's been flawless for 2 years, save for a blown out jewel light.

The non hotrod deville is very fender sounding. My best friend has one from when they first started making them in the 90's. He's never had any issues with it at all.

The blues deville? I think those are pretty sweet.

Hot rods break up, practically BLOW up way too soon for me.
I prefer their older stuff.

Look on Craigslist, Saturday Morning tweakers start selling everything for dirt cheap, that's how I got my 68' Twin.
