I have been changing my mind for a long time on mhich amp I should go with, I was just wondering if I were to get a jtm45 head and put it into a 4x12 slant or a 2x12 would I still be able to use it at home as well as at the show?

That depends on your living situation.  A house in the country with a basement and you could probably have use a superlead at home.  An apartment in the city and a champ is too much amp.

:D :D :D :D  At least you have an "Excuse" for playing at certain volumes if bongo-hell breaks lose at random.Somehow i wish my neighbours were just a bit noisier so i could do that.I can hardly turn on my champ before there´s trouble.

Wait until he starts playing and accompany him. That's always awesome.

BTW, I use a JTM45 at home (apartment) with a 1x12 and I usually get around 3 on the volume before stuff starts to rattle. Luckily, most people around me are in class when I have time to play, so it's not too bad. One guy next door was pissed when my delay oscillated out of control. :D

Anyway, I imagine a JTM45 + 2 or 4x12 will be too much for playing at home and being able to crank it up. You'd probably be ok if you have some pedals to get some overdrive from if that's your thing.

I think I read that too.. Bluesbreaker is a JTM in Combo form..

I borrowed a JTM45 Bluesbreaker combo from a friend and it does sound different... a marshall head is normally used in conjunction with a closed cab, while the combo version has an open back - it has more of a chimey, ringing quality to it. I love it! Less heavy, a bit less projection than a closed cab... but think of a Fender combo with three balls.
