Im an LP fan, but some of the guys on one of those forums
(dont know if its the same one as you go to) seemed a wee bit
Strange... or very rich.. they all talked like they had 10 or
15 $200,000 LPs in their expansive guitar vaults..

hehe...yeah, I don't post there, I just lurk and read....getting info along the way.

some of the world's biggest Les Paul collectors are on there, and some guys really do have several '59 Bursts each.

I think the Les Paul forum is like most forums...there's good guys and bad guys on there...childish guys, wise guys...I dunno...all sorts.

I mean, moderating OffsetGuitars means I have to read pretty much every post, and we're not really as open-minded as we'd like to think., I must say...there's certain favourite subjects/bands/whatever that most people like, and several other subjects/bands/whatever that never get discussed or sink like led.

don't get me wrong, I love it here, but I don't think we're in any way superior than any other forum really....apart from a yellow/mustard one, that is.... :)

so yeah, the Les Paul forum is alright if you want in-depth information about Les Paul guitars...they have great pics and very knowledgeable members there.

I have read various books on Les Pauls, and that forum is so much better for learning things

I was just teasing.  I post on a bunch of forums....This one's my favorite by far.  :)

I agree with all of your points, though.  Any forum is going to be biased and closed-minded to some extent, and this one's no exception.  Still rules, though.  8)

I have nothing wrong with elitism and snobbiness,
as long as its in accordance with my own beliefs

hahaha

(I only read one thread on there.. It was about the
$2 million dollar LP that was owned by the guy from
Fleetwood Mac... and some of the posters were
talking about actually considering buying it.. so it
seemed kinda like loopy land to me.. but I guess
not all Guitarists are poor musicians. hahah)
