I hear ya. I have a blackface Bandmaster head and a 2x12 in the basement that I haven't played for years. I doubt I'll have the need for it in the future.
Did you consign at m&m's?

Re: Anyone done an amp purge?
I got rid of a bunch of 100w and 50w Marshall JMP heads and two twin reverbs (72 & 74) a few years ago.
I kept my '76 Deluxe Reverb that I did a few simple and reversible mods to. It's a great amp but still too loud for home use.
I also have a rare Cage Corsa head and matching 2x12 cabinet. It's a terrific amp but I never really use it. I'm hoping to have a recording studio with my musical partner down the road where I can have everything put to use. Otherwise it's a hard amp to sell cuz nobody is familiar with it. Cage is one of the early boutique amp companies from the mid 90s.
At home I record direct but if I want to play out loud, I have a Roland Cube 60 which actually sounds amazing and is good with pedals.

He's such a nice guy. He built me the amp that replaced that one. At home I use a Fender Princeton. I took it to his place for him to look it over and it turned out he had worked on that exact amp.
