hope this works out for you. i'd rather have it built locally. do you have any recordings of the hiss in the ceriatone hiwatt? isn't this amp a different circuit than the ceriatone hiwatt clone? I see a lot of metal film resistors in this chinese copy.
Yes, different amp, i never said it was the same as the Ceriatone.

Sorry, i don't have any recordings of the Ceriatone, i traded it last year.

Metal film resistors are okay because fuck Mojo!

Fender amps were built by regular workers back in the 60s with regular off the shelf parts. Most of that mojo magic is our heads, so im okay if my amps lack what is perceived as mojo.

What i dont want is hiss, or weird noises ..

Ive bought Américan made amps before and Ive been disappointed. So where its made its not that important to me.

I bought from Frenzel, Hiwatt or from whoever owns the name now.. Etc..

Nothing at all wrong with metal film resistors. My got to resistor when building stuff.
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

Just got this today..

Im not one to describe sounds best... But this amp sounds fucking good. Powerful bass notes, and clear and chimey at the same time... And that is how it sounds with the settings like in the one pic below..

Middle all the way down, bright switch on, jazz switch on.. :w00t: 8)

The workmanship is top notch...

Came with a footswitch for the OD. The preamp tubes were all JJs, ive now put in all vintage 12AX7s, the el84s were EHX, these were also swapped for vintage tubes.

Im happy.. ❤️

Chinese manufacturers have really stepped up their handwired amp game.

This amp sounds incredible. Obviously im in the honeymoon stage, so my previous statement could be influenced by this; however, I've owned enough amps to be able to tell when an amp sounds good or not.

I expect this amp to still be rocking and jazzing many many years from now..

Even the handle is pretty cool on this thing. Brushed aluminium face and back plates..

All the pots turn smooth. Very low noise. Id definitely would buy a different amp of theirs in the future.. In fact, i might buy a plexi in the near future.

Looks great.

I'm continually intrigued by Dumbles/ODS amps and derivatives, so seeing that topography in a smaller package (18w did you say) is very interesting indeed. Nice to know it sounds good too.

That a reverb tank on top?

As mentioned above, full bass and chimey. The cab has Eminence speakers. Good little cab.

1x12 with a V30.

Size compared to a guitar.

Notice the angled baffle. Check the tolex going in different direction.
