Where to find specs and/or parts for my Ampeg

Post by Loomer » Fri May 09, 2008 9:09 am

All I need is to find out what pot to put into my Ampeg B2 bass combo. After searching the internets for a great while, I turn to you. The post broke of the volume knob.

Any ideas? A link to a schematic? A list of parts? I can probably find it if I can just find what value it needs to be.

Thanks so much...  :)

I'd think the chances of finding that information on the pot itself would be high. Worst case, it shouldn't be too tough to determine value and taper with a VOM.
Bigger in sum than parts.

Yeah, that would hav been the smart way, huh?  ::) :-[  I compulsively try to accumulate all my materials before a project, so the old "Simplest Solution" didn't occur to me.

Also, thanks, blacktiger. I found this site through another page, but it was a dead link so I assumed it was a dead site. This'll help loads.  :D

Hehe, no need for embarrassment. Taking amps apart more than is absolutely needed isn't all that much fun.
