ISO Advice on Sleeper/Budget Loud Bass Amps

My vote would have been for a Trace Elliot stack of some sort. I remember when I started playing (20-25 years ago) they were exotic and (I thought) expensive. Now, they're massive, impractical anachronisms. I reckon there's bargains to be had there. A lot of amp for not a lot of money (this side of the pond at least).
