Interesting. I'm a black is ground person for most things, the exception being the primary side AC sometimes. I tend to stick to the Marshall style of blue for anode connections, green for grid connections, and yellow for cathode connections. I also usually have the board laid out in the Marshall way where everything on the top eyelets/turrets goes to the front panel of the amp, and everything on the bottom eyelets/turrets goes to the tubes or back panel. It makes the most sense to me and is easier to "read" the layout in a logical flow. The Hiwatt version of it doesnt flow logically to me, and I dont really like it for that reason.

I had to take some IE courses (Industrial Electricity, I'm supposedly certified to work on anything up to 480v
(for USPS) for work and the one consistent thing (except for wiring in maritime craft) is that Green is Ground. But, as always when working with anything somebody else wire, trust but verify. They really drill that Green is Ground into your head pretty solid.

Black is commonly the hot/load/signal.
White is commonly neutral.
Black, Orange, Blue, Red and Yellow are typically 2 phase loads.

I generally prefer the "Marshall" way of wiring up a chassis but I'm appreciating the Hiwatt way more and more as I wire this one. The layout is a really good way of isolating power from signal to keep noise down. It's easy to tell it was designed by an actual electrical engineer and not simply a repair guy who knows what they're doing. They also clearly let the engineer design it without an accountant looking over their shoulder.

Back end done except for a few connections that need to be wired to the underside of the preamp board. I'm planning on doing the bulk of the preamp board outside of the chassis, then dropping it in and buttoning up all those connections.

I hope to build a Deluxe reverb kit this year.

I may ask my son to build a new box for my ProJr to install a 12" speaker and that would be good practice for a 1x15 Deluxe cabinet.
