Chrome over Aluminium, and some had diecast hoops too. I've seen them in 8 and 10 lug variety (the 10 lugs tend to be the 60's ones). Really solid sounding snare that will cut through a mix really well. They're cheap AF over here.
The later 70's and 80's ones were quite often chrome over steel mind you.
